JESUS IS THE WAY PART 1
Text: John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father , but by me.
Introduction: There are various ways in the world known unto men. But we have only one way that lead to joy, blessings, health, peace, victory, safety and likewise to Glory. That Way is JESUS – John 14: 6.
The Way cannot, will not, shall not, could not be and has not been able to be erased through persecution – Acts 9:2, Acts 19:9&23, Acts 22:4, Acts 24:14&22.
Therefore, the Way can supply all needs. Let us talk about Jesus, the way to Joy.
1. THE WAY TO JOY
Jesus is the only way to true joy – John.15:11. *Materialism, riches, wealth cannot give true joy. They do not last. They are not things of eternal value; thus the joy of a sinner is short – Job 20:5; Ps.37:35, 36&38.
Steps to True Joy:
(a). Be saved i.e. confess all inward and outward sins; repent and forsake them John.3:1-3, Gal. 5:19-21, Prov.28:13, Isa.55:6-7.
(b). Stay in the salvation of the Lord. How? Stay with the word of God – Jos.1: 8, John 5: 39. *Stay with the body of believers – Heb.10: 25.
(c). Sing spiritual song unto yourself – Eph.5: 19 – 20, ICor.14: 15, Col.3: 16, Jam.5:13.
(d). Stay with the Giver of Joy and constantly trust him – Ps.37: 39&40, Jam.4:7&8, Rom.12:1-2, John 15:5, Job 13:15.
(e). Ask – Joh.16:24, Matt.7:7-11. *The way cannot fail you, trust him – Ps.4:5.
